SEA-LAC Trade Center held the Latin Day 2011

Chalit Limpanavech, the Dean of International College of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, opened the event of Latin Day 2011 organized by SEA-LAC Trade Center in order to encourage students to have greater understandings toward Latin American economic, culture, and education. The participants would realize economic importance and opportunities of trade and investment in Latin America, in addition to arts, cultures, education, lifestyle of the Latin Americans, and the important roles of Spanish and Portuguese languages.
The guest speakers of the event were Mr. Kittipong Nasaiya, the Economic and Political Executive Assistant of the Embassy of Mexico in Thailand, Mr. Ekkaphon Nanta-o-sot, the Regional Corporate Communications Manager of Bangkok Airways and Ms. Kanokkwan Thamavit, the Assistant Trade Officer of the Embassy of Chile in Thailand.
Mr. Kittipong Nasaiya talked about his academic experience in Mexico. He also encouraged students to apply for the scholarship of Mexican government, if anyone wants to pursue master degree in Mexico. Mr. Ekkaphon Nanta-o-sot talked about his experience in Brazil, when he was an AFS exchange student in 1993-1994. Ms. Kanokkwan Thamavit mentioned about the opportunities of business and education in Chile.
Over 100 students joined the event, mainly from the International College of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
